I listened to the podcast in session 5 it was about ..." The Future of Mobile Devices for Learning" << "it was the longer podcast in this class ;) " Everything in this world is evolving rapidly, and for the better especially , the electronic devices.
"Development the mobile " is the impotent thing for every mobile company , they try to create a new technologies in the consumer mobile market.
A view years ago we cannot believe that the mobile devices will be touch screen in the future. Now you can see a lot of touch screen phones from different company like ; Apple , Nokia , blackberry , Samsung , and Sony ericsson .

"There are currently about 3.2 billion mobile subscribers in the world, and that number is expected to grow by at least a billion in the next few years. Today, mobile phones are more prevalent than cars (about 800 million registered vehicles in the world) and credit cards (only 1.4 billion of those). While it took 100 years for landline phones to spread to more than 80% of the countries in the world, their wireless descendants did it in 16. And fewer teens are wearing watches now because they use their phones to tell time instead (somewhere Chester Gould is wondering how he got it backwards). So it's safe to say that the mobile phone may be the most prolific consumer product ever invented."

In education you can see how the Mobile devices get more impotent to every student and teacher in different levels in education .
I agree with dr.Newberry that.. " What is the first thing you do when you encounter a need to know something? If you are like me, the first thing you do is search for information using the Internet."
since I came to USA , If I have a knew word I didn't understand it I use my laptop "in the past" and my iphone "now" to google the word and know the meaning for it ;)

I use my iphone to do a lot of things :
* Talking .... "with my family and my friends over seas ".
* Text-messaging... "also with my family and friends "
* Mobile web browsing " chick my email and my blog ;) , Some time I buy some thing for my husband and my daughter with out need to go the malls "
* GPS " i phone have "maps" it is amazing you can know where are you in the map and find the nearest thing you want .
* Playing " when I have free time I play "hockey" or "TicTac" from my iphone ;D
* listening to music " I use ipod from my iphone to listening to music "

Project Focus: Use of Mobile Devices
Project Description:
There is a lot of controversy of using handheld mobile devices in education. Our objective is to weigh out the pros and cons of using these devices in a learning environment, including elementary schools, secondary schools, and higher education. The information will include effects from the students, teachers, and some administration. By creating an enhanced podcast discussing different aspects of its usage, we hope to gain a better understanding of the controversy.

I read a web pages and listen to the podcast in session 3 and i like to write about what i learn from there:
First: "Twitter" I like it and I registered there. there are many amazing ideas in it ,you can be always contacted to local news ...on the other hand keep people updated about each other for example : I send to my friends in Saudi Arabia that they should register in twitter three of them like the idea and register.

I enjoyed reading the "8 Must-Have Education Apps for iPhone" that was dr newberry post it in session 3 , I have 3 of them before I red this page ; "myHomework","Art Lite" and "Facebook". also i use:

I using "Google map" to found the closest restraint , cvs , coffeshop and the malls .third: I learned a lot from "Kathy Schrock's Kaffeeklatsch" , for example;
* "Ask A Word: a free spellchecker, thesaurus, dictionary, and encyclopedia. " I like this one because the English is the scound lunggh to me, and I need this to the new words to me .
* "iPhone Web Docs:create folders on a virtual desktop, save your notes, and even embed URL's; a very useful tool accessible from a desktop, too, for printing or editing." I really like it.

This article explain how audio files is being used by students in higher education, specifically the podcasts .There are many purposes of using the audio files. The author definition podcast as an audio and/or video file that is available as an internet download or online streaming content.
Use of audio in geosciences instruction and student who using the tape recordings were getting better grades. The students were surveyed about their knowledge on how to utilize the audio files and if they believed the audio to be of some use. There are three Tables in this article:
first one was about “Survey question asking students about their awareness to download audio to portable audio players.”
The second one was “Survey question asking students about their awareness to download audio to CDs or flash drives.” also included many comments from both students who listened to the MP3 files and the students that did not .
The tired one was about “ Survey question asking students about the desire to have lecture podcasts.”

...Hi everyone
When I was a child I saw a lot of mobile devices that my father uses he is fascinated with new technology . I didn't take this from my father I use any mobile devices i don't care about the level of technology in it , three days ago I just bought i phone 3gs the latest it is amazing . I have education on the go . I listen to Newberry podcast on it also I can google every thing I am looking for at any time for example; today we want to Redlands with my husband for dinner but we found the restaurant closed because 4th of Jule , I googled another restaurant close from us and we found a batter restaurant than what we were going to.
I listened to the podcasts and I reviewed the websites that was posted by dr. Newberry .. I didn' use the Apple II , because I was born after it was introduced and in my country we didn't use computer in school . Now days schools have computer lap in them. I searched to get much of the information on the Apple II and Apple IIe , I get some ideas from
